Joseph and Helen were amongst the first Maltese to be converted from Roman Catholicism to Evangelical Christianity. Although still in their teens they both grew steadily in the Faith and in 1983 they founded the 'Knisja Kristjana Evangelika' (Christian Evangelical Church) where Joseph served as Pastor. Under his leadership the church grew and the need for a new building was felt. The Assembly moved from Paola to San Gwann where they bought their own church building in 1990. Joseph served in full-time ministry as the Senior Pastor of this assembly until 1994. During this period of time he also served as President of the 'Malta Fellowship of Evangelical Churches' and as Superintendent of the 'Malta Assemblies of God.' He was instrumental in the founding of both organisations.
Between 1994 and 2006 he ministered to various assemblies both locally and abroad but was not attached to any particular organisation or denomination. Then in 2007 the Lord led both him and his wife to attend 'Live Seed Christian Centre' where now they serve as associate ministers. Although 'Live Seed' is now their home church yet Pastor Joseph ministers freely to the Body of Christ whenever opportunities arise. Both Joseph and Helen have a special calling to the whole body of believers and their passion is to equip believers, work towards unity between the various Christian Churches and encourage believers to look to God for spiritual revival upon Malta and Gozo.
Pastor Joseph is an avid preacher and an able teacher of the Word of God who depends heavily on the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He and his wife have studied Biblical studies with Global University. Helen works alongside her husband offering support and godly counsel. Besides the ministry Joseph also works in one of Malta’s leading production companies in supervisory management. Helen on the otherhand works as a kindergarten teacher in one of the local government schools. They were married in 1977 and have two lovely daughters, Daniela and Rachel, who serve the Lord through music ministry.
